Being  Born  Again

My life was meaningless. My life was lost.

I wandered through each day in search of I knew not what.

I worked, fought and squandered for each day only brought more problems.

I argued with friends until friends I had few.

I thought evil thoughts.  I did evil deeds.

I tried many ways to make sense of my days but without success.

The spices of life in my hands turned sour.

I was told that I was alive but oh how I felt that I was dead.

Then I entered your temple and for the first time REALLY heard your word.

It made so much sense. It relieved me so.

I put my belief in you. I gave you my soul.

You delivered me from evil. You pardoned my sins.

You took the weight of the world from my shoulders and made me feel whole again.

My life is NOT meaningless. My life is NOT lost.
